Who Is God?
God is the Creator of all things, visible and invisible. God made mankind in His own image to enjoy a perfect relationship with Him. When God created mankind He looked upon His creation and saw that everything He made was good. As the Creator, God possesses complete authority and we are responsible to Him.
“Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his;” Psalm 100:3a
“Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his;” Psalm 100:3a
What Went Wrong?
We have rejected God and His ways. God made mankind to have a perfect relationship with Him, but the creation has rejected the Creator. This rejection is known as sin. From the very beginning of human history, men and women have sinned against God. God is perfectly holy and just. He cannot allow sin to go unpunished. Your sin has separated you from God and earned you the right to be judged eternally by God.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death,” Romans 6:23a
“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,” Hebrews 9:27

Is There A Solution?
Absolutely! While God is perfectly just, He is also perfectly loving. Because of God's great love for us, He sent Jesus to take upon Himself the punishment that we deserved. Unlike us, Jesus did not rebel against God. He is perfectly holy just as His Father is. Jesus took our punishment by dying on the cross as our substitute. God has demonstrated His great love for us by treating His Son as a sinner so that sinners could be adopted into His family as sons and daughters. The good news does not stop there! Jesus rose from the dead after three days and has promised to deliver us from spiritual death.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ~ John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ~ John 3:16
What Must I Do?
Repent of your sin. To repent is to turn from your life of sin and rebellion against God. God requires that we stop living for ourselves and by our own standards. God also requires that we trust in Jesus and what He has done to save us. If we trust in our good works to save us we will continue to fall short of God's glory and earn God's judgment. If we trust in who Jesus says He is and what He has done for us, the Bible tells us that we can be forgiven by God. This is good news!
“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out,” Acts 3:19
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
What Now?
If you have chosen to turn from your sin and trust in Jesus, you have been forgiven. God has called you back to a relationship with Himself. The aim of your life should now be to honor God and pursue joy in Him. God desires for you to live for His glory and by His standards. To do this well, you need the help of a local church. We pray that God would lead you to join us as you seek to live for Him.
